A slightly oversize map of the American south east printed for Richard Baldwin, Jr., the publisher of the ‘London Magazine’. The Catalogue identifies the map-maker as a Robert Baldwin. It was published in the issue for July 1755 at the outbreak of the French and Indian War. Page 312 states ‘We shall give two other Maps of North American, which may be joined together, and will make a cpmpleat Map of that part of the world.’ It was intended that this map be joined to ‘A Map of the Five Great Lakes’ published in September of the same year.
