This lovely map engraved by Thomas Kitchin appeared in the August 1757 issue of the ‘London Magazine’. This newspaper delivered much of the news of the French and Indian War then raging to a thirsty English populace. It depicts the region of Chesapeake Bay, the colonies of Maryland and parts of nearby New Jersey and Pennsylvania. An ornate title cartouche adorns the lower left. Jolly, D.C. (Brit Per) LOND-122.
