An engraved estate plan from Sir Alexander Murray’s (d.1743) ‘The True Interest of Britain, Ireland, and our Plantations.’ It depicts the lands of Stobbo to the north of the River Tweed. A number of features are keyed to an Explanation upper right. Two further insets describe the Heights and Canal. The names of adjacent lands and owners are also showline. Relief is shown pictorially with heights given and the map bears gridlines. ESTC T102909.
