Franz Ludwig Gussefeld (1744-1808) was a cartographer from Osterburg who worked with the firm of Homann’s Heirs from 1773. This detailed map of southern Spain extends from Gibraltar to Vera eastwards beyond Almeria. It extends inland to include Andujar and displays the Costa del Sol in some detail. There is an attractive title cartouche upper right. Tooley’s Dictionary.
