A superb large two-sheet map of the River Rhine with extensive decoration. It is oriented to the west and bears considerable detail. The map is decorated with the nine coats of arms of the territories through which the River flows including the countries of the Netherlands, Germany, France and Switzerland. The title cartouche lower right bears a scene of natural wealth. The map includes its tributaries the Maas and Mosel. The right-hand cartouche is dedicated to Andries Bicker and includes an allegorical representation of Justice. It bears no text to the verso as usual. Van der Krogt, P. (Atlantes) 1120:2B.
