A fine detailed map of the Alsace region extending from Lutterburg to the north of Strassburg to Basle in the south. The nature of the region meant the map is split into a northern section to the left and southern to the right. An ornate title cartouche finishes the map off. This state is unrecorded by Pedley in her magnificent study of Robert de Vaugondy lacking as it does the privilege. The map was published in Rober de Vaugondy’s ‘Atlas Universel’. Pedley (1992) 127.
