Margaret Roscoe was William Roascoe’s daughter-in-law and was better known by her maiden name Margaret Lace as a fine botanical artist. William Roscoe is the author of ‘Monandrian Plants of the order Scitaminee’ published in Liverpool 1829. Of note in themselves are the plates produced at the hands of Robert Havell which are beautifully rendered, each accompanied by a leaf of descriptive text.
