John William Norie, a noted mathematician and hydrographer, took over the famous nautical chart firm of William Heather in 1812. A nice detailed chart of the entire extreme north coast of Sumatra or Indonesia with the region of BANDA ACEH featured in great detail upper right, the scene of the devastating tsunami which struck the region on 26 December 2004. It includes numerous insets of bays and harbours.
