This map of the Anjou region of France is derived from a lost original by Lezin Guyet which was published in Paris in 1573. The Ortelius was first published in the ‘Theatrum’ in 1579, this example with German text to the verso was issued in 1580 and is in its first state of three. Meurer p. 162; Van den Broecke, M. 40.
