Johann Wolfgang Heydt’s work entitled ‘Allerneuester Geographisch und Topographischer Schau-Platz Africa und Ost-Indien’ was published in Wilhermsdorf and Nuremburg in 1744 by Johann Carl Teschner and Homann’s Heirs. It described the Dutch factories, settlements and stations at the hands of the East India Company. This sea chart details the approaches to the region around Batavia (Jakarta) in present day Indonesia. Mendelssohn 2 p. 554.
