Johann Wolfgang Heydt’s work entitled ‘Allerneuester Geographisch und Topographischer Schau-Platz Africa und Ost-Indien’ was published in Wilhermsdorf and Nuremburg in 1744 by Johann Carl Teschner and Homann’s Heirs. It described the Dutch factories, settlements and stations at the hands of the East India Company. This map details the region around Batavia (Jakarta) in present day Indonesia. Mendelssohn 2 p. 554.
