This map appears to be a revised plate from Robert Sayer’s early map of 1773. It appears in editions of his ‘General Atlas’. The more commonly found later edition bears the imprint of Laurie and Whittle and is dated 1799. MCC 31, #211, pl.XVI (the later edition by Laurie and Whittle, 1799); Shirley ‘Atlases in the BL’ T.Lau 1a no. 34 (again the later state).
