This fine quality work was published by the successful firm of R. Ackermann. It includes numerous fine quality aquatint views of the Lake District drawn by Theodore Henry Fielding (35) and J. Walton (12) and W, Westall (1). Russell describes it as “one of the finest of the Lake District books”. Fielding was the eldest son of a portrait painter.
