Girolamo Ruscelli’s edition of Ptolemy’s ‘Geography’ included newly engraved copperplates by Giulio and Livio Sanuto. First published in 1561 this example is in its second state as published in the 1574 edition. It is a Ptolemaic depiction of Germany. Nordenskiold 220; Shirley ‘Atlases in the BL’ T.Ptol-10e.
