From ‘L’Atlas Curieux’ published from 1700 and expanded continually for many years. The atlas followed a quarto one and was first issued in 1709, this map being added in 1712. The map identifies the source as a Turkish manuscript by Caffa. Pastoureau Fer I C no. 220; Shirley “Atlases in the British Library” T.Fer 3a.
