Engraved by Pieter van den Keere this fine map was issued in Johannes Cloppenburg’s “Atlas sive Cosmographicae Meditationes …” which was the largest of the minor atlas published to compliment the folio Dutch atlases of the period. This example of the East Indies however appears to come from another UNIDENTIFIED source altogether. The verso bears Italian text an edition of which was not published and it is printed in portrait not landscape like all editions of the atlas. Van der Krogt 8500:353.1.
